Tottenham Hotspur Show Interest in Super Eagles Star Victor Boniface

English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Nigerian striker Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen this summer.

The 24-year-old had an impressive debut season in Germany, scoring 21 goals and providing nine assists in 34 matches. He helped Bayer Leverkusen win both the Bundesliga title and the DFB Pokal, finishing the season unbeaten.

According to Give Me Sport, Bayer Leverkusen are open to letting Boniface leave, and Tottenham could be in a good position to sign him. Spurs had previously considered the Nigerian forward before choosing to sign Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth.

Tottenham already have several attacking players, including Son Heung-Min, James Maddison, Richarlison, Timo Werner, Brennan Johnson, Solanke, and Mathys Tel. However, they have struggled this season and currently sit 16th in the Premier League. Their main hope for silverware now lies in the UEFA Europa League, where they are set to face Boniface’s former club, Bodo/Glimt, in the semi-final.

Reports suggest that Boniface might consider leaving Leverkusen if manager Xabi Alonso departs the club. West Ham United are also reportedly monitoring the Nigerian, meaning Spurs could face competition for his signature.

Although the Premier League move may seem attractive, Boniface has previously stated he would prefer a move to Spain over England. He was also linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League earlier this year, but the deal fell through.

As Boniface enters a key stage of his career, fans will be watching closely to see if he makes a switch from the Bundesliga — and whether the Premier League or La Liga becomes his next destination.
