Two-goal hero Cyriel Dessers wins Europa Conference League player of the week

Cyriel Dessers has been named the Europa Conference League player of the week after scoring two goals in Feyenoord’s Europa Conference League semifinal first leg 3-2 win against Olympique Marseille.

The Super Eagles striker scored a goal each half to help his side to a slim win against the French side.

Cyriel was in contention for the award with fellow Super Eagles teammate Ademola Lookman who was also on target for Leicester City in their 1-1 draw against Roma.

The other names on the shortlist are his Feyenoord teammate Luis Sinisterra who was also on target against Marseille and Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini who scored against Leicester City.

But Cyriel Dessers who is currently the top scorer of the competition with 10 goals becoming the first-ever player to reach the mark has been declared the winner.
