Two Stats that Boosts Chelsea’s Confidence Of Victory At Turf Moor This Weekend.

Burnley hosts Chelsea at the Turf Moor on Saturday evening in the English Premier League. There are two Stats that would boost the Blue army’s hopes of victory over the the Clarets by 4pm today.

First , whereas some EPL sides find Burnley difficult to break at The Turf Moor, Chelsea boosts of a chain of wins there over the last decade. This stat will warm the heart of Tuchel and his men as they attempt to heap more misery on the Clarets who fell to a 0-2 defeat at home to Leicester on Tuesday to halt their three-game unbeaten run.

Next is the fact that Burnley has failed to score in four of their last six home matches in the league. Against a disciplined Chelsea defense that has kept five clean sheets in their last eight matches in all competitions, that stat may not change. The Blues will however worry about breaching the Burnley backline if they must secure a win this evening.

Chelsea are still hurting from their  shootout Caraboa cup loss to Liverpool last weekend and were then given a scare at Championship side Luton in the FA Cup on Wednesday night, fighting back to claim a 3-2 win after twice falling behind.

Today’s game presents Chelsea with a good chance to strengthen their hold on a top four with the league title out of reach. The Blues sit in 3rd spot, three points clear of 4th placed Manchester United and five ahead of West Ham in 5th place with two games in hand over both.

On their part, Burnley managed wins over Tottenham and Brighton as well as a draw with Crystal Palace before falling to Leicester City. Sean Dyche’s men are now one point adrift of safety and will fight to overcome the negative stats and boost their chances of retaining their top flight status at the end of the season.

Burnley Vs Chelsea will kickoff by 4pm on Saturday 5th March 2022.
