Tyrese Maxey Leads 76ers to Comfortable Win Over Bulls

The Philadelphia 76ers continued their excellent start to the NBA season with a convincing 126-107 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Monday night.
Tyrese Maxey was once again at the centre of Philadelphia’s success, finishing with 26 points, four rebounds, 11 assists and two blocks. The 25-year-old guard delivered when his team needed him most, scoring 15 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter to help the Sixers pull away.
His performance also carried a special milestone. Maxey recorded his 20th career regular-season game with at least 25 points and 10 assists, joining Allen Iverson and Wilt Chamberlain as the only players in 76ers history to reach that mark.
Philadelphia had several other players contributing to the victory. Jaylen Brown finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds, while rookie VJ Edgecombe added 21 points. LeBron James contributed 15 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, while Joel Embiid also recorded 15 points and eight rebounds.
Chicago struggled to keep pace as the game progressed. Rookie Caleb Wilson led the Bulls with 24 points, but his effort was not enough to prevent another defeat.
The victory improved Philadelphia’s record to 7-1, extending its winning streak to four games. Chicago, meanwhile, suffered its fifth consecutive loss.
The 76ers will be pleased with the way their star players are combining early in the campaign, while Maxey’s growing influence continues to make him one of the team’s most important players.
