U-20 world Cup: Flying Eagles return to Buenos Aires ahead of Brazil game
The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have relocated from Mendoza to Buenos Aires ahead of their clash vs Brazil at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.
It was in Mendoza that Nigeria defeated Dominican Republic and Italy to occupy top spot in group D and seal a spot in the round of 16 with a game vs Brazil to spare.
The U-20 Eagles have now completed their relocation back to Buenos Aires where the team first landed and camped ahead of the Argentina 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup kickoff.
Before leaving Buenos Aires for Mendoza, the Ladan Bosso tutored Flying Eagles tested their wits in friendly games Vs Club Almirante Brown and the Colombia U-20 team.
The U-20 Eagles were 2-3 victors of second division Club Almirante Brown before holding Colombia to a 3-3 draw in their final warm-up game. Days after the Colombia game, Nigeria left Buenos Aires for Mendoza to kickstart their World Cup campaign.
After a perfect run in Mendoza, the Flying Eagles of Nigeria have returned to Buenos Aires hoping for a positive result vs Brazil to secure top spot in group D.
That game will take place at the Estadio Unico Diego Maradona in La Plata on Saturday May 27, 2023.
