U18 Afrobasket: Nigerian girls reach the final

Nigeria’s Junior D’Tigress have secured a place in the final of the U18 Afrobasketball Championship in Pretoria, following a hard-fought 71-67 victory over Uganda.

The game, played on Friday afternoon, was closely contested throughout. Junior D’Tigress led by one point at the end of the first quarter, 21-20, and maintained their advantage at halftime with a score of 45-39.

Despite a strong third-quarter performance from Uganda, who outscored the Nigerians 15-9, Junior D’Tigress sealed the win with a final quarter score of 71-67.

With this win, Junior D’Tigress will face Mali in the championship final.
