The Confederation of African Football, CAF has announced the postponement of the 3rd round qualifying matches of the Afcon U23 from June to September.
The media officer of the National U23 team , Sharif Abdallah (Babs) stated this in a release earlier on Monday.
The national under 23 men’s team were scheduled to play Sudan U23 on the 5th of June in Omdurman and the return leg on the 9th of June in Nigeria.
However, new dates have been confirmed by CAF as the first leg of the 3rd round qualifying series will now take centre stage on the 2nd of September with the return leg on the 10th respectively.
The Dream Team VII had earlier in the previous round defeated Libya 4-2 on aggregate.
