UCL: Sorry Ajax spanked 1-6 by Napoli, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Porto win, all the results for Tuesday

Ajax fell to a humiliating 1-6 loss to Napoli at the Johan Cruyff arena on Matchday three of the 2022/2023 UEFA Champions League .

Ghanian forward Mohammed Kudus gave Ajax the lead on Tuesday night. When Giampolo Rasporadi levelled scores with a diving header , in-form Napoli hit full swing banging two more goals to lead 1-3 at the break .

Three second half strikes ensured the Italian Serie A side walked off the turf  with a convincing 1-6 win to sit top of Group A .

This was the first time Napoli have scored six goals in a UEFA Champions League game.

In the other Group A fixture , Liverpool FC defeated Glasgow Rangers 2-0 at Anfield . Trent-Alexander Arnold and Mohamed Salah with the goals to secure victory for the Reds’.

There were six other matches decided on Tuesday October 4, 2022 in Europe’s premier club competition, Inter Milan defeated Barcelona 1-0 at the San Siro .

Club Brugge continued their impressive start to the UEFA Champions League campaign with a 2-0 win of Atletico Madrid .

Eintract Frankfurt and Tottenham Hotspur shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw while French Ligue One side Olimpique Marseille were 4-1 victors of Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon.

Bayern Munich smashed Viktoria Plzen 5-0 at the Allianz Arena in a game which saw the set a new UCL Group stage record by going unbeaten in 31 straight games .

The Bavarians winning 28 games in this period while the remaining three ended in draws .

Matchday three continues on Wednesday October 4, as the group stage reaches the halfway point .
