Udinese 2 Leicester 1: Iheanacho scores as Musa & Ndidi play part
Super Eagles world cup stars, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi were all in action for Leicester as they suffered a 2-1 loss to Udinese in their pre-season friendly match on Saturday.
Leicester City fell behind after just four minutes as Kevin Lasagna beat goalie Danny Ward from close range to put the Italians in front.
Darwin MachÃs increased Udinese’s tally to two to ensure a comfortable 2-0 lead going into the half time.
At the hour mark, Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi and Ahmed Musa were among the eight players introduced by the Foxes coach.
They quickly made an impact in the game bur didn’t result into a goal till the 89th minutes when Ahmed Musa initiated a counter attack and offloaded a pass to debutant Pereira, whose perfectly-weighted through-ball found Kelechi Iheanacho.
Kelechi Iheanacho held off two markers before finding the bottom corner with a neat finish for Leicester City consolation goal.
