Victor Boniface scores 7th Bundesliga Goal in Bayer Leverkusen win over Cologne

Nigerian striker, Victor Boniface scored his seventh (7th) German Bundesliga goal of the season as Bayer Leverkusen defeated Cologne 3-0 on Sunday, October 8.

The win ensures Leverkusen maintain their lead in this season’s Bundesliga title race with their sixth win in seven league matches, Boniface a significant figure behind this run.

Xabi Alonso’s team, who are still undefeated, scored twice in the first half through Jonas Hofmann and Jeremie Frimpong and before club top scorer, Victor Boniface scored midway through the second half to seal a 3-0 win.

Leverkusen took the lead in the 22nd minute after a perfect passing move across the entire pitch and with Florian Wirtz’s backheel flick setting up Germany international Hofmann for his fourth goal of the campaign.
