Victor Moses Leaves Luton Town After One-Year Stay
Former Super Eagles and Chelsea star Victor Moses has officially left Luton Town after just one season with the English club.
The 34-year-old wing-back joined Luton on a free transfer from Spartak Moscow at the start of the season. Unfortunately, it was a tough year for Moses and the team, as they suffered relegation from the Championship and will now play in League One next season.
Due to the club’s drop to the third tier, Luton Town confirmed on their official website that Victor Moses, along with several other first-team players including goalkeeper Tim Krul, will not be getting a new contract.
“First team squad players also departing include goalkeepers Tim Krul and Jameson Horlick and winger Victor Moses upon natural expiry of their contracts,” the club wrote in their statement.
Moses’ time at Kenilworth Road ends quietly, but he leaves with a strong football legacy. Over the years, he has won major trophies with Chelsea — including the Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Europa League. On the international stage, he helped Nigeria win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations under the late coach Stephen Keshi.
