Victor Osimhen has publicly confirmed that he has already made a decision about his future, despite penning a new contract recently at Napoli. SportsRation reports.
The Nigerian striker made the disclosure during an interview with CBS as he participates at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with the Super Eagles of Nigeria , stating that he has a clear plan for the next step he wants to take at the end of the season.
When asked about speculations linking him to Premier League clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal, Osimhen mentioned that the English League was the biggest in the world at the moment.
He emphasized his focus on finishing the season strongly with Napoli and indicated that decisions about his future will be made afterward.
“I have already made my decision on the next step to do at the end of the season. I already made up my mind. I already have my plan, I know what I want to do, the next step I want to take,” Osimhen said.
Addressing the Premier League rumors, he said, “I think 60% of the people mention the rumors about me linked with the Premier League. Premier League is one of the biggest leagues in the world. I want to finish the season with Napoli strong and then come up with the decision I’ve already made.”
Osimhen recently signed a contract extension with Napoli, committing to the club until 2026 but is widely tipped to leave the Italian champions this summer with multiple clubs willing to pay his release clause.
