Victor Osimhen heavily linked to 7-year long Chelsea deal

Nigerian international and Napoli star Victor Osimhen is set to sign a seven-year deal with English Premier League side Chelsea this summer, barring any last-minute changes.

According to TEAMtalk, Osimhen is focused on joining Chelsea despite the recent departure of manager Mauricio Pochettino. The Blues are currently leading the race for the striker, ahead of Paris Saint-Germain and several Saudi clubs.

Chelsea’s transfer strategy remains steadfast despite Pochettino’s exit, with club officials recognizing the need for a substantial investment to bolster their attack. The primary target remains Osimhen, who is set to leave Napoli this summer and is eager to play in the Premier League.

The Nigerian striker’s release clause is set at €130 million (£111 million). Multiple sources have confirmed that Osimhen has already given his informal approval for the move to Chelsea.

While certain aspects of his seven-year contract still need to be finalized, Chelsea is prepared to offer Victor Osimhen a salary exceeding his current earnings at Napoli.

Although nothing has been signed yet, months of negotiations between Chelsea and the 25-year-old have made his intentions clear—he wants to become a key player for Chelsea. Agreement on personal terms is reportedly close, with further discussions set to continue in the coming days.

However, negotiations between Chelsea and Napoli are ongoing. Chelsea is exploring Napoli’s financial demands through intermediaries and is planning meetings with the Italian club to discuss the economic details and the potential inclusion of talented young players in the deal to reduce the overall cost.

Napoli has so far remained firm, insisting on receiving the full transfer fee in cash. Concurrently, Chelsea must manage player exits before they can fully focus on securing Victor Osimhen and make a decisive push for his acquisition.

This transfer promises to be one of the most talked-about moves of the summer, with Chelsea fans eagerly anticipating the arrival of one of Europe’s top strikers to Stamford Bridge.
