Victor Osimhen sends classy message to Eagles ahead of AFCON opener
Victor Osimhen has sent a classy message to the Super Eagles as they prepare for their first 2021 African Cup of Nations clash against the Pharaohs of Egypt.
Nigeria will on Tuesday play their first AFCON group D match against Egypt at Roumdé Adjia Stadium without the Napoli striker.
Victor Osimhen was excused from the tournament after pleading for time to recover fully from the injury he sustained while in action for his Italian club Napoli.
“Osimhen, it’s a pity he’s not going to be in the AFCON, he told me he’ll be in AFCON in spirit.
“Practically he pleaded and I could see reasons,” said Eguavoen on the reason for his absence.
Although, he declared himself fit and ready for the tournament shortly after recovering from the injury but he has now been excused on request.
Despite being out, just like Dennis Emmanuel did, Victor Osimhen sent his goodluck message to his teammates.
“GoodLuck To The Super Eagles, As They Begin Their AFCON Campaign Tomorrow Against Egypt,” said Victor via his official Twitter Page.
