Victor Osimhen’s brace wins it for Charleroi in five-goal thriller against Zulte-Waregem

Victor Osimhen scored twice to give Sporting Charleroi a hard fought 3-2 win against Zulte-Waregem in a Belgian division A game at the Stade du Pays de Charleroi on Sunday.

The Nigerian striker who was on target in Sporting Charleroi’s 2-1 away loss to Cercle Brugge in their matchday 10 clash added two more goals to continue his scoring form.

Cristian Benavente’s 44th miutes strike put the hosts in front. His strike was all separating both teams at the end of first half.

The game was an end to end action in the opening stages of the second half till the visitors were awarded penalty in the 73rd minutes.

Hamdi Harbaoui stepped up to bury the strike. Ten minutes after the equalizer the Zulte-Waregem took the lead after Hamdi Harbaoui completed his brace.

With the visitors running away with the win Victor Osimhen stepped up to rescue Sporting Charleroi by scoring two goals in the last minutes of the game.

He scored the equalizer in the 86th minites before sending the crowd wild after he scored the winning goal in the 95th minutes with the last kick of the game.

Victor Osimhen has now scored 5 goals in all competition for Sporting Charleroi, 4 goals in 6 league games.
