VIDEO: Ángel Correa’s epic goal in Atleti draw at Villarreal

Ángel Correa scored from the halfway line in Atletico Madrid’s 2-2 draw against Villrreal in a La Liga game on Sunday.

The Argentine who has been in a fine form for Atletico Madrid scored a super goal to give the visitors the lead against the Europa League champions.

Ángel Correa who intercepted Daniel Parejo pass in the midfield fired in from the middle of the pitch to the applauds of the away team.

It was his scored 7th league goals in 20 league games this season for the La Liga champions.

Villarreal had to fight back from the deficit without their Nigerian star Samuel Chukwueze who is with the Super Eagles at AFCON 2021.

Gerrard Moreno had the chance to equalize from the spot kick in the 23rd minute but missed fluffed it and Daniel Parejo had his attempted chalked off by VAR.

But there was no denying the home team who eventually scored through Pau Torres in the 29th minutes and took the lead in the 58th minutes through Albert Moreno.

Godfrey Kondogbia equalized for Atletico Madrid 67th minutes and was later sent off in the last minutes of the game for a second bookable offence.
