Samuel Chukwueze has fired a warning shot to Liverpool ahead of their UEFA Champions League semifinal second leg with a brilliant solo goal against Alaves in a La Liga game on Saturday.
The Super Eagles attacker who scored the goal that sent Villarreal into the quarterfinal instead of the mighty Bayern Munich was on target at the Estadio Mendizorroza.
Two first-half goals from Victor Laguardia and Gonzalo Escalante put Deportivo Alaves in front and 2-0 up going into the halftime.
But Samuel Chukuweze pulled one back shortly after the restart for his third goal league of the season. The Nigerian took the ball from his flank and dribbled it into the box before firing between the keeper’s legs.
