VIDEO: Igoh Ogbu Scores, Muhamed Tijani Plays a Role as Slavia Prague Defeat Servette

Igoh Ogbu was on target for Slavia Prague as they claimed a 2-0 win at Servette in their Europa League opener played at the Stade de Geneve on Thursday.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 32nd minute when Lukas Masopust struck the first goal of the game. However, it was Igoh Ogbu who would seal the victory with a powerful header in the 59th minute, effectively putting the game out of Servette’s reach.

Igoh Ogbu, who joined Slavia Prague in January 2023 from Strømsgodset, showcased his prowess in both defensive and offensive aspects of the game. His perfectly executed header from a corner kick demonstrated his ability to contribute to the team’s attack.

Notably, Ogbu wasn’t the sole Nigerian player representing Slavia Prague on the pitch. Muhamed Tijani also played a significant role, contributing 38 minutes to the Czech Republic side’s strong performance.

This impressive victory marks a promising start to Slavia Prague’s Europa League campaign, and the Nigerian duo of Igoh Ogbu and Muhamed Tijani played a crucial part in this successful opening match. Their contributions will undoubtedly be instrumental as Slavia Prague continues its journey in the competition.
