VIDEO: Ndidi says AFCON & Premier League are similar in ways

Wilfred Ndidi has shared his thoughts on the similarities between the Africa Cup of Nations and the Premier League.

The Leicester City midfielder believes there are not many obvious differences in the intensity and physicality of both competitions.

The 25-year-old is regarded as one of the best central defensive midfielders in the English topflight as he’s led in nearly all ball recovery stats in the past two to three seasons.

Ndidi delivered a brilliant performance in Nigeria’s matchday one 1-0 win over the Pharaohs of Egypt, helping to stop Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah from wrecking havoc.

Now he’s opining the African flagship tournament is similar to the Premier League in intensity and physicality.

Ndidi made his AFCON debut in the 2019 edition and helped Nigeria finish 3rd at the tournament.
