Victor Osimhen has given the cold shoulder to some of his teammates ahead of Napoli’s Serie A match against Udinese scheduled for the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona later this evening.
Osimhen is at loggerheads with Napoli after videos mocking him were released by the club’s official TikTok account following the match against Bologna. The 24-year-old has deleted most of his posts in a Napoli shirt from his Instagram account, as he shows his displeasure.
The Nigerian striker’s agent came out to condemn the now-deleted post, threatening to invoke legal action against the Italian club, if need be. Osimhen decided to honour the call-up from the manager for the match against Udinese despite the problems in the squad.
Footage emerged of Osimhen arriving at the team Hotel ahead of the match, and it told a story of its own. The striker ignored teammates Piotr Zielinski and Diego Demme as they stretched out their hands for a handshake, instead taking the hand of the Team Manager, Giuseppe Santoro, who looked crestfallen as the striker approached him.

The next days will dictate what happens next in the Osimhen saga with Napoli, and it is one to keep a close eye on. Despite winning the Scudetto and making history last season, there appears to be a fractious relationship between the player and club now.
