Terem Moffi scored a sensational overhead kick in the Europa Conference League as Nice played out a 2-2 draw against Basel in Switzerland.
The Super Eagles striker scored all the goals as Nice secured an away draw in the first leg of the Europa Conference League quarterfinal game.
His incredible overhead kick which is similar to one scored by Manchester City’s Erling Haaland has gained attention.
And Moffi has explained he was inspired by the Norwegian.
“I saw Haaland do it last weekend and I was like, ‘Why not?!'”, He told Canal+
“It was a special goal, a special moment. I would never have imagined scoring such a goal. Honestly, I had no idea what I was doing.
“I saw the ball coming and I tried. The goal of the year? Maybe not. But maybe the goal of the competition.”
Terem Moffi (23) has 7 goals + 2 assists in 11 games since joining Nice in January.
