Vincent Enyeama proud of Nwabali, Super Eagles after 2023 AFCON semi-final win

Legendary Nigerian goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama says he is proud of the performance of Stanley Nwabali and the Super Eagles in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations win over South Africa on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

Chippa United FC shot-stopper, Stanley Nwabali was the hero for Nigeria, stopping two penalty kicks as to help the Super Eagles win 4-2 after penalty shootout in Bouake, Cote d’Ivoire.

Enyeama who was Nigeria’s goalkeeper in 2013 when the West African nation won the AFCON title in South Africa took to social media with message for his compatriots.

The former Super Eagles skipper, was particular in praise of Nwabali who has come in to revoke memories of Enyeama’s outstanding display in goal for Nigeria.

Enyeama wrote on social media after the game ” Congratulations @ng_supereagles @nwabali32 keep soaring. So Proud of you #hero.”

Nigeria will face Cote d’Ivoire in the final match on Sunday, February 11, 2024, with Nwabali and the Eagles looking to follow in the footstep of the 2013 set and land a fourth AFCON title.
