WAFU U-20: Nigeria`s Falconets eye another big win over Togo

After a 7-0 rout of Niger Republic in their first game of the 2023 WAFU U-20 Women`s championship, the Falconets of Nigeria eye another big win when they face Togo on Wednesday.

A win vs Togo will seal their progress to the semi-final with one group game to spare.

Against Niger Republic in their WAFU U-20 opener, FIFA U-17 World Cup bronze medalist with the Flamingos Opeyemi Ajakaye, bagged a hat-trick, while defender Jumoke Alani and midfielder Chinyere Kalu also registered goals in the game to send Nigeria to a flying start in Ghana.

The game between Nigeria and Togo will take place on Wednesday May 24, 2023 with kickoff by 6pm at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Nigeria`s Falconets will face Burkina Faso in the last Group B match of the 2023 WAFU B U-20 Cup at the Paa Joe Stadium in Kumasi.

In the other group, tournament hosts Ghana occupy top-spot and are trailed by The Republic of Benin and Cote d’Ivoire.
