Warrior’s Andre Iguodala out for at least two weeks
The Golden State Warriors will have to continue their pursuit of history without Andre Iguodala for the next two weeks.
Iguodala is dealing with a sprained left ankle he suffered in Friday’s win against the Portland Trail Blazers.
As the leader of the Warriors’ talented second unit, Iguodala’s injury will surly impact his team’s quest to break the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls’ single-season record of 72 wins.
“It’s a really big deal,” head coach Steve Kerr said of Iguodala’s injury. “Nobody’s going to replace Andre… He is one of the smartest players I have ever been around.”
Iguodala, who is averaging 7.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game this season, will likely be replaced by Brandon Rush.
