Warriors beat Cavaliers again, Walker hits franchise record 52 points

The Golden State Warriors eased past the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday, recording a 132-98 win in their NBA finals rematch.

Stephen Curry scored 35 points in three quarters while Andre Iguodala added 20 as the Warriors embarassed the Cavaliers.


The Warriors built a 30-point lead in the first half before pushing their advantage to 43 as the Cavaliers failed to contain the rampant visitors.

LeBron James posted a lowly 15 points for the Cavaliers as they slumped to a fifth straight loss to the reigning NBA champions.

Kemba Walker broke a franchise record for the Charlotte Hornets after scoring 52 points in their 124-119 overtime win against the Utah Jazz.

Walker made 16 of 34 shots from the field, including 6 of 11 3-pointers. He was 14 of 15 on free throws, breaking the previous mark of 48 points set by Glen Rice in 1997.

Gordon Hayward scored 36 points, Trey Burke added 25 and Rudy Gobert had 14 points and 14 rebounds for the Jazz, who trailed by as much as 15 points in the third quarter.

Dirk Nowitzki contributed with 31 points as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Boston Celtics 118-113 in OT.

The win means the Mavericks have beaten the Celtics seven straight times, and 11 in their last 12.

Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan combined for 61 points as the Toronto Raports edged the Brooklyn Nets 112-100, while the New York Knicks needed OT to get up over the Philadelphia 76ers 119-113.

In other results, the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Washington Wizards 108-98, the Memphis Grizzlies edges the New Orleans Pelicans 101-99, the Chicago Bulls got up 111-101 over the Detroit Pistons, and the Los Angeles Clippers survived a late fightback against the Houston Rockets to record a 140-132 OT win.
