Warriors, Clippers beat Bucks, Bulls as Harden makes double-double in Rockets victory

There is just no stopping the Golden State Warriors at the moment after they outlasted the Milwaukee Bucks, while the Los Angeles Clippers made it back-to-back wins.

The Warriors extended their winning streak to seven games, surviving a scare to top the Bucks 124-121 in Saturday’s NBA action.

Blake Griffin led the way as the Clippers defeated the Chicago Bulls 102-95.

The Houston Rockets downed the Utah Jazz 111-102 thanks to a James Harden double-double.

There were also wins for the resurgent Philadelphia 76ers, the Miami Heat and the New Orleans Pelicans.

 

DURANT CARRIES WARRIORS

Kevin Durant continues to prove his worth to the Warriors (11-2).

He led the way again on Saturday, posting a game-high 33 points, with 25 of those coming in the first half for his fifth 30-plus points game of the season.

Two-time reigning MVP Steph Curry contributed 20 points, despite struggling with his shooting.

 

CLIPPERS CONTINUE TO IMPRESS

The team with the league’s best record stayed hot against the Bulls.

Griffin’s 26 points and 13 rebounds in a double-double display helped the Clippers improve to 12-2 after rallying past the Bulls.

Despite 28 points from veteran Dwyane Wade, the Bulls (8-5) and their four-game winning streak was snapped.

 

SIXERS GO BACK-TO-BACK

It is not often you see the 76ers win back-to-back games, but they did just that on Saturday.

Rookie Joel Embiid scored a career-high 26 points as the 76ers trumped the Phoenix Suns 120-105 for their third win of the season.

HEAT, PELICANS WIN

Hassan Whiteside’s double-double of 18 points and as many rebounds helped the Heat overcome the Washington Wizards 114-111.

The Pelicans prevailed 121-116 in overtime against the Charlotte Hornets, the Boston Celtics edged the Detroit Pistons 94-92, the Memphis Grizzlies were too good for the Minnesota Timberwolves 93-71 and the Dallas Mavericks lost 95-87 to the Orlando Magic.

 

HAWKS LOOKING TO BOUNCE BACK

After their six-game winning run came to an end on Friday, the Atlanta Hawks are back in action against the New York Knicks on Sunday. The Oklahoma City Thunder go head-to-head with the Indiana Pacers, while the Toronto Raptors meet the Sacramento Kings.
