Warriors defeat Mavericks in Dallas, need one win to complete Western Conference Finals sweep
The Golden State Warriors took a 3-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals against the Dallas Mavericks following a 109-100 win in Game 3 of the series.
Having won Game 1 and Game 2 in front of their home fans, the Golden State Warriors faced their first road trip of the Western Conference Finals. The Dallas Mavericks had won their Conference semifinals largely because of their performance at home against the Phoenix Suns.
The Golden State Warriors won the opening quarter 25-22 before the Mavericks took the second quarter 25-23 to end the first half 48-47 in favour of the Warriors. The Golden State Warriors won the third quarter 30-21 before losing 32-31 in the fourth quarter to seal a 109-100 win.
Steph Curry led the scoring for the Warriors with 31 points and 11 assists, and Andrew Wiggins contributed 27 points and 11 rebounds. Luka Doncic led all scorers in the game with 40 points and 11 rebounds, and Spencer Dinwiddie scored 26 points.
