Warriors record 50th successive home win, Wizards too good for Bulls, and Cavs edge Mavs

Stephen Curry starred as the Golden State Warriors defeated the New York Knicks 121-85 in the NBA for their 50th consecutive regular-season win at home.

Curry posted 34 points on Wednesday as the defending champions improved to 32-0 in Oakland this season.

The reigning MVP also made eight three-pointers for the Warriors, who boast a 61-6 win-loss record.

Klay Thompson chipped in with 19 points.

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 18 points, six rebounds and six assists.

There was no LeBron James but no worries for the Cleveland Cavaliers, who edged the Dallas Mavericks 99-98.

James was rested for the visit of the Mavericks and Kyrie Irving stepped up in his team-mates absence, scoring 33 points as the Cavs held on for victory.

Mavs duo Dirk Nowitzki and David Lee had 20 points apiece.

Also on Wednesday, the Washington Wizards triumphed 117-96 over the Chicago Bulls thanks to John Wall’s triple-double.

All-Star guard Wall recorded 29 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds.

The Los Angeles Clippers were too good for the Houston Rockets 122-106 and the Atlanta Hawks trumped the Detroit Pistons 118-114.

Kevin Durant had 28 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder past the Boston Celtics 130-109.

Ryan Anderson and Anthony Davis combined for 56 points as the New Orleans Pelicans downed the Sacramento Kings 123-108, the Memphis Grizzlies fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves 114-108, while the Charlotte Hornets beat the Orlando Magic 107-99.
