Warriors to be without Curry for at least two weeks with ankle sprain

The Golden State Warriors revealed star point guard Stephen Curry will miss at least two weeks with a right ankle sprain.

Curry underwent an MRI in Charlotte on Tuesday to reveal the extent of the injury he suffered late in Monday’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Curry hobbled off the court and ultimately left the arena on crutches.

Tuesday’s MRI indicated Curry’s ankle was stable and structurally intact, but he will not again be evaluated for another two weeks.

Curry scored 31 points with 11 assists Monday, and he is averaging 26.3 points per game this season.

Injury update: Stephen Curry underwent an MRI today in Charlotte, the results of which confirmed that he suffered a sprained right ankle in last night’s game at New Orleans. The MRI indicated that the ankle is stable and structurally intact. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

With the two-time MVP out of the lineup, Golden State could start Shaun Livingston at point guard.

Draymond Green could also get some reps leading the offense.
