Watch as Tobi Amusan breaks Meet record with 12.29s to retain her Diamond League title
Tobi Amusan has shattered another record as she beat off competitions to claim the 2022 Diamond League title in grand style.
The Nigerian athlete who is the World record holder (12.12s), and Commonwealth record holder (12.30s) has now added the meet record (12.29s) to her records.
In a star-studded race consisting of some of the best hurdlers including Jasmine Camacho-Quinn who beat Tobi Amusan to 2nd place at the Lausanne Diamond League meeting in Switzerland on August 26.
Tobi Amusan got the job done in grand style beating off all competitions and setting a new meet record in the process.
Her 12.29s (-0.3) race was enough to break Gail Devers’ 22-year-old Meeting record as she retained her Diamond League title.
Tobi Amusan claimed first place with a time of 12.29s, USA’s Tia Jones finished second with a time of 12.40s while Jamaica’s Brittany Anderson completed the podium with a time of 12.42.
