Watch as Zaidu Sanusi’s late goal helps Porto win the 2021/22 Portuguese League title

Zaidu Sanusi scored the only goal at Estadio da Luz as Porto secured a 1-0 win against Benfica to claim the 2021/2022 Portuguese League title.

The Super Eagles defender who had endured missed reaction from the Porto fans became the hero on the night they needed someone to stand up for the team.

Sanusi scored from a beautiful counter accounting game – at the 93rd minute of the game, Porto were defending a corner and countered with the ball.

Former Real Madrid defender Pepe went all the way with the ball into Benfica’s 18-yard with Zaidu Sanusi chasing the ball.

The Portuguese found the Nigerian with a pass in Benfica’s 18-yard and Zaidu Sanusi finished off as a striker to send the visiting fans into a celebratory mood.

It was his 3rd goal in 23 league games this season. With two games to the end of the season Porto who have only lost one league game this season claim the Portuguese League title.
