Tempered flared between Daniil Medvedev and a Spanish umpire during his Australia Open semifinal clash with Stefanos Tsitsipas.

The Russian who had previously admitted in the past that he can be a little childish displayed another of his childishness in Australia on Friday.

“I actually don’t know exactly where it comes from, but since I was young, this importance to win something takes over,” he told Eurosport’s Barbara Schett during an Instagram Live chat in 2020

“I want to do everything I can and, on the court, I can be a little childish and start crying. Not literally, but kind of in a way, that’s it. But talking with me and stuff like this is super easy going.”

During the game against Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev was captured shouting at the Spanish umpire questioning and eventually called him a ‘small cat’.

Asking if the umpire was stupid, saying he was a bad umpire before calling him a small cat to which many fans said it was his subtle way of calling him a ‘p#ssy’.

This is the latest of his rant at the 2022 Australia Open, he once:
