Watch the ugly scenes as Nigeria’s replacement Mali fights dirty at FIBA World Cup
It was not the best scene in Australia the venue of the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup as Africa’s representatives, Mali fights dirty on Monday.
Mali took the only African spot for the event, after Nigeria’s Sports minister, Sunday Dare, withdrew Nigerian teams from international competition over in-house issues.
After an 81-68 loss to Serbia on Monday for a fourth straight defeat and certain elimination from the Women’s Basketball world cup, a fight broke out between two Mali players at the mixed zone.
Salimatou Kourouma and Kamite Elisabeth Dabou were players involved in the fighting as Serbian TV was conducting an interview with one of their players.

As seen in the video, while the interview with Sasa Cado was going on, Salimatou Kourouma threw punches at Kamite Elisabeth Dabou as the Serbian watched on in amazement.
The fight was eventually stopped by their teammates. At the time of this report, the cause of the fight was yet unknown to the public.
Today, Mali will play Canada in their last Group game before jetting back home.
They lost 56-89 to Japan in their first game, 58-118 to Australia in their second game, 59-74 to France in their third game, and were beaten 68-81 by Serbia in their fourth game.
