‘We are focused on winning because we know Nigeria’s strength’- Morocco coach, Reynald Pedros

The Atlas Lionesses coach Reynald Pedros is confident his girls can get the job done on Monday when they face the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

Hosts, Morocco and Nigeria will play at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex for a place in the final by 9 pm Nigerian time and the French man is sure of victory.

Reynald Pedros during his post-match conference acknowledged that Nigeria are the strongest team in Africa but his team will be out to get the job done.

“We are preparing for the game, after the quarter-final game, we had time to rest and we are ready for this game.

“Nigeria is the strongest team in Africa and we know their strength. We need to do our best and we are prepared for the game.

“We know they are strong, they have been the strongest for several years and we are ready. I won’t reveal our plans for the game, but we know what we are facing, we know they are experienced.

“We are focusing on winning, we are in the semifinal and we will see what will happen in the game (vs Nigeria). We have positive ideas and we will focus until we reach the final.

“We don’t have any injuries and all our players are ready. Tomorrow’s game will be different and it’s up to us to stand up against our opponent.”

Nigeria and Morocco have played twice at the WAFCON in 1998 and 2000 with the Super Falcons winning both ties 8-0 and 6-0.

Monday’s clash will be entirely different as Morocco which have now improved will be fancying their chances against Nigeria.
