Ibom Youths Fc youngster Victor Abraham has said his Ibom Youths FC teammates have no fear in their hearts as they get set to face Heartland FC in a Nigeria National League week 2 clash on Sunday March 26, 2023.
Heartland Football Club are hosts for the NNL Group B4 game billed to kickoff by 4pm at the Dan Anyiam Staduim, Owerri Imo State.
In an exclusive interview with SportsRation after the teams brief work-out at the Dan Anyiam Staduim Owerri on Saturday evening, Victor said ” Growing up, i have always heard of Heartland FC as one of the big teams in Nigeria.
” Their relegation from the NPFL last season does not erase the rich history of the club especially during its days as Iwanyanwu Nationale.
” All that glory and history will however not count tomorrow when we take to the turf for the NNL week 2 clash here in Owerri.
” We have respect not fear for them and so will come out to play our game like we have prepared to do throughout the season.
” We have a very young team but we are very ambitious and want to win every game we play. Hopefully we can get a good result to build on our 3-2 win over Cynosure FC in midweek. That is our target and we will do our best to achieve it. ” the teen sensation concluded.
Nicknamed Dinho after legendary Brazillian star Ronaldinho for his mesmerizing dribbles, Victor is making his NNL bow this season having joined the club from Gr8 minds Academy. The teenager was a second half substitute in Ibom Youths FC`s 3-2 win over Cynosure FC in week one of the Nigeria National League season.
Ibom Youths FC Head Coach Emmanuel Ntuk has winger Victor Abraham and 17 other players in Owerri for the game against Heartland FC who will come into this game high in confidence following their 0-1 away win over Abia Comets FC in midweek.
