“We hope to win” – Flying Eagles star Daniel Daga optimistic ahead of crucial U20WC clash against Colombia

Flying Eagles midfielder Daniel Daga says the team is focused on their next match against Colombia at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Aliyu Zubairu’s team beat Saudi Arabia 3-2 in their second game on Friday morning.

Captain Daniel Bameyi scored a penalty in added time to give Nigeria all three points.

The Flying Eagles are currently third in Group C with three points from two games.

The seven-time African champions must win against Colombia in their last group match to reach the knockout stage.

Daga said they will do their best to beat the South Americans.

“Our next game is against Colombia in the last group match. We hope to win again so we can move to the next stage,” said Daga, who plays for Molde in Norway, according to FIFA.com.
