We’re Not Sacking Rohr – NFF

The Nigeria Football Federation according to its president, Amaju Pinnick has revealed that Coach Genort Rohr will not be sacked as Super Eagles Head Coach.

Rohr, a Franco-German tactician has been in charge of the Nigeria national team for three years and led the country to the 2018 World Cup and 2019 AFCON, where he is set to engage Tunisia in the third place playoff match after a narrow 2-1 loss to Algeria in the semifinal.

Gernot Rohr will not be sacked as Super Eagles coach. He will remain in the job. I have complete confidence in him,” Pinnick told @osasuo on Monday night.

“Gernot has taken us to the semi-final, the target we set for him. Right now, we have a third-place match to play for and we intend to have our team leave Egypt with honours,” Pinnick added.

Rohr is expected to answer questions as regards his future when he speaks with the media in Cairo on Tuesday ahead of Wednesday’s third place match against Tunisia at the Al Salam Stadium in Cairo.
