Westbrook posted his third consecutive triple-double, finishing with 21 points, 15 assists and 13 rebounds as the Thunder made it five straight wins on Tuesday.

It was Westbrook’s 15th triple-double of the season, the most by a player in a single NBA campaign since 1988-89, when Magic Johnson recorded 17 and Michael Jordan tallied 15 of his own.

Team-mate Kevin Durant scored 23 points and Dion Waiters contributed 17.

The Rockets were led by James Harden, who put up 24 points and a career-high 16 assists.

Hassan Whiteside and Dwyane Wade starred as the in-form Miami Heat saw off the New Orleans Pelicans 113-99.

Whiteside had 24 points and 14 rebounds in a double-double display, while Wade added 25 points for the Heat, who won for the ninth time in 12 games.

Jrue Holiday (24 points) and Luke Babbitt (23) were the pick of the Pelicans players.

Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets defeated the Brooklyn Nets 105-100, and the Los Angeles Lakers prevailed 107-100 against the Memphis Grizzlies.
