Why Dakkada FC Did Not Win at Abia Comets – Coach Emmanuel Ntuk Explains

Dakkada FC head coach, Emmanuel Ntuk, has blamed a lack of concentration for his team’s failure to secure victory against Abia Comets, after conceding a last-minute equaliser in their 2-2 away draw in Umuahia.

Dakkada’s Strong Start Ruined by Late Goal

Dakkada looked set for all three points after Bassey Bassey, making his first start of the season, scored two brilliant free-kicks in the first half. However, Doukumo Wadulu capitalised on a goal-mouth scramble to equalise for Abia Comets just five minutes from full-time.

Coach Ntuk: “Our Best is Yet to Come”

Speaking after the Matchday 8 fixture Per a report by Dakkada FC Media Director, Edidiong Stephen, Coach Ntuk expressed confidence in his young squad, stating that they are still adapting to the demands of the Nigeria National League (NNL).

“My boys are very young, and they are beginning to understand the physical and mental energy levels required in the NNL,” said Ntuk.

He also praised his team’s growing chemistry, highlighting their high pressing, quick transitions, and improved goal-scoring ability.

“There is a lot of understanding in the team. The fact that we have scored five goals in our last two matches shows that the boys are improving and becoming very difficult to beat.”

Ntuk’s Unbeaten Run in Umuahia Continues

The draw means Ntuk remains unbeaten in four visits to the Umuahia Township Stadium, a record dating back to his time as Ibom Youth’s head coach.
