Why Lakers and Clippers NBA Home Games Have Been Postponed
The NBA has announced that the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers’ home games scheduled for Saturday have been postponed due to the ongoing wildfires in the city.
The Lakers were set to play the San Antonio Spurs, while the Clippers were due to face the Charlotte Hornets, but both games have been cancelled for now.
The league explained that the postponements were made to ensure that no resources are diverted away from the emergency response to the fires in the Los Angeles area. Both teams, along with the NBA, have been in close contact with local officials to monitor the situation.
The Lakers’ game against the Hornets, which was supposed to take place on Thursday, had already been postponed earlier.
Both games will be rescheduled at a later date.
