Why Tobi Amusan Will Miss Stockholm Diamond League

Tobi Amusan, the world record-holder in the women’s 100m hurdles, will not compete in the seventh round of the 2025 Diamond League in Stockholm.

The 28-year-old Nigerian athlete won her race earlier at the fourth meeting in Rabat, Morocco, but her name is not on the list for the upcoming event in Sweden.

Also missing is Nigerian shot putter Chukwuebuka Enekwechi, as the men’s shot put will not take place at this meeting.

The Stockholm Olympic Stadium will still host many top international athletes, who are continuing their preparations for the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan, happening in September.
