Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has named club manager, Enzo Maresca’s simple style as reason for Leicester City’s superb start to the English Championship season.
Leicester City FC are placed 2nd on the English Championship standings, a single point behind top of the table, Preston after a great start to the season.
On an individual level, Wilfred Ndidi has enjoyed a new lease of life under Maresca, adding goals to his game at the King Power.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s Championship games, the Nigerian International hailed the brilliance of the Italian manager.
” He’s been amazing,” Ndidi told the Leicester City official website.
“He’s helping the team to be more together. If you have a look at the team, the way we play, and also the guys on the bench, we’re all together. He tries to make everything simple with the philosophy.
“It’s going well, and we’ll see where it takes us. Everyone is gelling so quick. We all know what we want to do. We know what we have to do. Kudos to the Manager because he’s been brilliant since he arrived here.” he said.
In their last match, Foxes defeated Norwich City 2-0 in midweek with Ndidi’s countryman Kelechi Iheanacho netting the opener from the spot.
Leicester City will continue their promotion chase when they host Bristol City at the King Power Stadium in their next Sky Bet Championship game, today.
