Wilfred Ndidi scores in Leceister City home loss to Southampton

Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi was on target in Leicester City 2-1 home loss to Southampton in a Premeir League game on Saturday.

The 22-year-old midfielder who has been hailed as one of the best in the Premier League put one back for his club against the Saints at the Kings Power Stadium.

The relegation struggler took the lead in the 11th minute through James Ward Prowse. The Saints academy graduates drew the first blood from the spot kick.

Just before the end of the first half Shane Long increased Southampton’s tally to two.

Wilfred Ndidi bundled home a fine pass from Ricardo Pereira to give the Foxes the hopes of getting an equalizer.

The equalizer never came as Southampton hung on to the lead to secure the maximum points that will be useful in their survival battle.

The goal is Wilfred Ndidi second league goal in 22 games. It is his second goal since he scored on October 27th,2018 in Leicester 1-1 draw with West Ham.
