William Troost-Ekong’s Independence day post gets mixed reactions from Nigerians
Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has caught attention on social media after celebrating Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day on October 1, 2024.
The defender, who recently scored a penalty for Al-Kholood against Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, shared photos to mark the special occasion. Alongside the photos, Ekong posted the message, “HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY OUR BELOVED NIGERIA.”
