Women’s round up: Plateau beat Delta, Kaduna beat Ondo to stay perfect

Danboyi Mary’s 42nd minute strike earned Plateau State Women’s team a hard-fought 1-0 win against Delta State on Sunday.

After playing a goalless draw in their first game against Yobe State, the much-fancied Delta State fell short of expectations yet again as they failed against Danboyi inspired side.

Danboyi tapped in a shot in the 42nd minute for the only goal of the game to give Plateau a win in their first game of the festival.

In the second game of the day in the women’s category, Kaduna State made it 2 out of 2 with a 2-0 win against Ondo State.

Mathias Ruth’s goal from a penalty corner in the 27th minute and Musa Grace’s goal in the 30th minute of the game helped Kaduna State girls maintain their position on top of the log.
