Worst ever assembled Flying Eagles – Fans react after Nigeria’s loss to Mali
Nigerian fans are not happy and they made their dissatisfaction known about the team they tagged the worst ever Flying Eagles’ team ever assembled.
Flying Eagles of Nigeria will not be playing for a chance to win the 8th AFCON U-20 title after suffering a 4-3 loss to Mali in Niger on Wednesday.
Paul Aigbogun led boys were the clear favourite for the tournament and on paper should have beaten the Malians but the underdogs took the day.
Just as they did in their previous games, Flying Eagles showed zero understanding of football basics. They were all over the place and rushed every decision.
They were largely without a plan. The front three, midfielders were just doing whatever they wanted. They hardly completed passes between themselves as everyone wanted to be the scorer.
The Malians who were on the back foot for the most part of the game opened the scoring in the 78th minute through Traore before second half substitute Durugbor equalized for Nigeria.
After the extra time and scoreline remained 1-1 the game was decided by a penalty shootout where Nigeria lost 4-3 to Mali.
Fans took to the social media voice their dissatisfaction at the team they described as the worst ever, technically inept and clueless.

Seriously, the team and squad selection should be questioned because these set of players not the best we can find around.
