Head coach Xavi Hernandez has named the best four players he played with at Barcelona without including Lionel Messi.
Newly appointed manager told the club official TV in an interview that he would rather have Samuel Eto’o instead of the Argentine super star.
He picked Victor Valdez in goal, Carlos Puyol in defence as expected he picked Andres Iniesta with whom they conquered Europe and the world.
And he shocked the interviewer and many fans when he went for Samuel Eto’o in the forward position instead of Lionel Messi.
Xavi Hernández said his preference for Samuel Eto’o was due to the fact that Lionel Messi is still playing active football.
“I would have chosen Leo Messi, but he is still playing.”
According to various reports, Xavi has also approved the reigning of Dani Alves who is currently without a club.
