Zesco United complete transfer of 2013 U-17 World Cup winning defender Dennis Nya
2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup winning defender Denis Nya has completed his move to Zambian Club, Zesco United FC from Nigerian club Akwa United FC.
Nya, was part of Coach Manu Garba’s U-17 FIFA World Cup winning squad in the United Arab Emirates (2013).
The defender was a fringe member of the squad who thrilled and entertained Football fans on their way to winning the title with Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho the key man .
Nya starred for hometown club Akwa United FC in the 2021/2022 season under Coach Kennedy Boboye and later Ayodeji Ayeni.
The rock-solid defender has had two spells at Akwa United FC and other Nigeria Professional Football League clubs but has now taken the option of a foreign experience with Zesco United.
The financial details of the transfer have not been been revealed but the deal is two-years long SportsRation gathered.
Zesco United FC will hope to turn their season around after dissapointing results from 2022 and are set to face Prison Leopards in the league today.
Kwara United FC forward Wasiu Jimoh has also joined the Ndola based outfit.
