Marcus Rashford ‘banned from Manchester United’s Carrington dressing room’

Marcus Rashford has reportedly been banned from using the first-team dressing room at Manchester United‘s Carrington training base, despite his recent breakthrough.

The 18-year-old has emerged from the club’s youth ranks and into the senior set-up over the past month, playing a key part in front of goal by scoring five times in his eight appearances so far.

However, The Mirror claims that boss Louis van Gaal has refused to allow the youngster to use all of the facilities at Carrington, instead insisting that he must continue to change in the Under-21s’ dressing room.

A United source is quoted by the newspaper as saying: “Marcus still uses the U-21s’ dressing room at Carrington but he’s not the only one. All the rest of the young players who have made their debut’s recently do the same.

“It’s the manager’s policy to leave them with their own age groups for now and it’s his decision when they are invited to change with the senior players at Carrington.”

Rashford first caught the eye in February when scoring twice on his club debut against FC Midtjylland in Europe, before bagging another brace against Arsenal a few days later.
