Its Carlo Ancelotti-Paul Clement again!

Today Bayern Munich confirmed the appointment of Paul Clement as their assistant manager, meaning he has rejoined Carlo Ancelotti whom he had worked with at three different clubs.

The working relationship between Carlo Ancelotti and Paul Clement started in 2009 and ended in 2011, he was part of Ancelotti’s back room staffs at Chelsea during his short spell at the London based club.

When Carlo Ancelotti was sacked by Chelsea at the end of 2010-11 season following a poor season, the 44-year-old English manager also left Chelsea to work briefly as a coach at Blackburn Rovers, assisting Steve Kean.

On 21 March 2012, Paris Saint Germain appointed Carlo Ancelotti as Antoine Kombouaré replacement, Paul Clement was Blackburn Rovers assistant coach, at the end of that season he was hired by to Paris Saint Germain as Carlo Ancelotti’s Assistant.

He only worked at the Paris based club for a year before the duo moved to the Spanish capital.

With Madrid calling, Carlo Ancelotti couldn’t resist the call just as other top managers the club had appointed, Carlo going to the Spanish capital meant his loyal assistant would go with him.

They worked together at Madrid and recorded success just as they had at the previous clubs together. It was two years of great accomplishment, they won the famous “la decima” in their time at Real Madrid.

Having worked together at Chelsea, Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid it was a matter of time before the former Derby manager would rejoin his master upon his appointment as Bayern Munich manager last year.

These two must surely have great relationship having worked together at three different clubs and with great number of trophies to show for their union, it is surely a matter of time before they add to their collection of trophies.

Although, he should be considering taking up a post as a manager having impressed at his previous role as Derby manager with a record of 14 wins, 12 draws, and seven losses before he was sacked eight months after his appointment.

Working with Carlo Ancelotti will give him more winners’ medals and prepare him better for the managerial role in future.

Paul Clement has won the Premier League, FA Cup, French Ligue 1, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Copa del Rey winners’ medals with Ancelotti as an assistant manager.
